- First run: route timing and ease of access.
- Bosses: defensive reliability, distraction, stagger and recovery tools documented in launch tactics.
- Exploration: mobility, sustain and the acquisition cost before free-roam cleanup.

Why each tier
S: Proxima. One of the first marked routes and the lowest-friction blind-play choice.
A: Tiel, Eredrim, Smert and Genessa. These Shells provide documented dodge, heavy, burst or summon solutions.
B: Gragu, Sariel and Lazlo. Their quest or boss requirements make them later first-run investments.
Harros is excluded because the launch guide counts eight selectable Shells separately.
