Hexapod Boss Guide

Most pressure comes from the front appendages; Harden and ranged face shots simplify the unclear tells.

Area: Withered Shoals. Order: Main boss 6 of 11.

Preparation

Harden is the safest answer to short tells; an upgraded Triarch Repeater provides a ranged option.

Boss strategy

1. Keep the face in view because nearly all appendage pressure originates from the front.
2. Hold Harden through unclear animations and counter after the appendages settle.
3. Shoot the exposed face when the arms move aside; move laterally for the smaller second-phase homing volley.

Common mistake

Committing to a long melee string while the front appendages are still raised.

• Hexapod is fought at the end of Withered Shoals.
